Florida Storms is a comprehensive weather application designed to keep you informed and prepared for any weather event in Florida. It offers a clean and fast interactive map with real-time audio and text alerts from the Florida Public Radio Emergency Network. Backed by Baron's exclusive storm track algorithms and meteorological expertise, Florida Storms delivers up-to-date information on weather hazards.
With the app, you can access tropical weather updates from the National Hurricane Center, determine evacuation zones, track storm surges, and review emergency preparedness checklists. Consolidating multiple functions into one platform, Florida Storms simplifies the process of staying informed and ready for any situation, from routine thunderstorms to serious hurricanes.

Developed by the Florida Public Radio Emergency Network in collaboration with the University of Florida and Baron Critical Weather Intelligence, Florida Storms is a free application. It features updates from certified meteorologists at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications and is accessible through local public radio stations.
The Florida Public Radio Emergency Network partner stations offering coverage include WUWF (Pensacola), WFSU (Tallahassee), WKGC (Panama City), WUFT (Gainesville), WJCT (Jacksonville), WMFE (Orlando), WMNF, WUSF (Tampa-St. Petersburg), WFIT (Melbourne), WQCS (Ft. Pierce), WGCU (Ft. Myers), WDNA (Miami), and WLRN (Miami). Repeater stations are available for broader coverage.
